In a double girder crane, in order to better connect the shaft or two parallel shafts, the corresponding mechanical coupling must be used to transmit the torque. Commonly used here are the elastic pin couplings. In use, it will be found that the coupling is still a consumable part in a double girder crane, which indicates that it is not sufficient to inspect and maintain it.
The basic requirement for inspection of a double beam hoist mechanical coupling is that all aspects must not exceed the limits when using the instrument for measurement. Since the coupling is also used, once the bolt holes of the coupling are found to be worn and cannot be repaired, they must be scrapped in time.
Alternatively, when the tooth thickness of the coupling in the double girder crane exceeds 15%-20% of the original tooth thickness, it should also be scrapped. If any part of the coupling has cracks or broken teeth, scrapping is a wise move to avoid further deterioration.
In addition, it is necessary to check the elastic rubber ring of the double-beam crane elastic pin coupling for abnormal wear. If this happens in a crane, pay special attention to the wear of the toothed coupling gear ring. In an ascending institution, serious accidents can easily occur.
Therefore, if the rubber pin or leather pad of the elastic pin coupling is damaged, it should be replaced in time. If the pin and hole are crushed and vibrated, re-drill halfway at an angle. It is not allowed to replace standard new pins. The original hole was enlarged and replaced with a new pin so that the coupling can return to normal and fully function in the crane.
