Truss Gantry Crane

Description: 

Truss gantry crane is composed of gantry, crane crab, trolley traveling mechanism, cab and electric control system.

The gantry is of a box-shape structure, the girder is bias track double girder and the leg is divided into type A and type U according to user’s requirements.

The closed cab is employed for operation, where there are adjustable seat, insulating mat on the floor, toughened glass for the window, fire extinguisher, electric fan and auxiliary equipment such as air conditioner, acoustic alarm and interphone which can be furnished as required by users.

The height of the main girder (or truss) of the MG type gantry crane is related to the span and structure of the bridge. The MG type universal gantry crane single web main beam is cheaper and simpler to manufacture than the double web box, but the former has a much larger height. This increase in the height of the main beam (when the trolley is running along the winding) increases the height at which the trolley is placed above the crane's walking track. The most reasonable shape of the main beam that ensures that the material is fully utilized is a curved (parabolic) lower chord shape.

The main truss and auxiliary trusses of the MG type gantry crane bridge must be given the so-called building arching, as is the case for the solid web of the bridge. Arching is a theoretical blueprint for changing both the vertical truss and the solid web side profile during design, and bending the bridge from bottom to top during the manufacturing process. When there is a riser in the upper chord section of the main truss of the MG type general gantry crane, the arching of the main truss must be made by the meandering at the joint. Forced arching of welded trusses or beams is not allowed.
